Ibanez Acoustic Electric Guitar Tips

How good are Ibanez acoustic electric guitars?

How good is an Ibanez acoustic electric guitar?

I would say only as good as the manufacturer who is making it. Ibanez a well-known guitar brand owned by Hoshino Gakki and was founded in 1957. Ibanez has some big name players on their roster: Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and Pat Metheny to name a few.

Ibanez Guitar, Ibanez Guitars

Every brand name guitar has 3 levels of their modeled guitars. Every level has a different manufacturer in charge of their line of guitars. The top tier is the custom shop. These guitars get all of the attention. Only the best wood is used, the pickups are cleaner and hotter sounding. These babies are prized pieces of art taken care of with a meticulous eye. They know the buyer who is willing to spend upwards of $1,500 through $3,500 on a guitar is going to know every little detail about the craftsmanship. They have waited their whole life to purchase one of these gems and have earned their stripes to play one of these finely tuned instruments. Because of this actual men and ladies watch over every phase of the building process of these guitars. Best Selling Electric Guitars, Free Shipping.

The bottom tier guitar has a whole different buyer in mind. This demographic is moved by eye candy. This entry level 6 string is going to be the buyer's first guitar. He is going to play it till his fingers bleed just like it was the summer of 69. When he walks into the music store with $250.00 bucks burning a hole in his pocket he is looking for one thing only. He is looking for the sexiest looking guitar in the whole store. He wants the most rocking, the coolest, rad, sparkling, guitar that he can find. Most likely it will be the one the store manager put some cool lights on it to make it shine like the stars above.

Which type of strings should I get for my Ibanez acoustic electric guitar?

I use and recommend Elixir Nanoweb acoustic light gauge strings but there are lots of good strings out there. There is no one best string, just a lot of excellent strings that you might like. Also, sometimes there's a combination of guitar and strings that just doesn't seem to work so keep trying until you find your favorite.

Unfortunately, if you ask 7 different guitarists what are the best strings you'll get 7 to ten different answers. It's all opinion, I prefer John Pearse medium bluegrass on my guitar, but you may think those suck and prefer another brand. On your "G" string, pick up a plane .018 and put it on, helps with the BENDS a lot.

Is there a real difference with Ibanez Artcore Semi-Hollow?

I have a semi-hollow Ibanez guitar (Artcore Talman TM-71) and I would like to sell it in order to buy an Artcore AFST with tremolo. This one is hollow body.

I've only played one Artcore in my life, but in general, usually the difference is that the semi hollow bodies will have better sustain and less tendency to feedback. Differences in sound are probably best discovered by playing/listening, but would be to be expected I would think.

Which of these left handed Ibanez electric guitars are better?

I play in a metal band. The types of guitars I use are Ibanez and Schecter. For my style, those two companies make exactly what I look for in a guitar.

A lot of it depends on what kind of sound you're looking for and what kind of amp you are playing through. Fender guitars tend to sound a little bit "tinny" in my opinion. This means there are more high frequencies coming from the electronics. They definitely have a distinct sound and a lot of rock players like it. Ibanez guitars can be made to sound similar to Fenders (not exact) but at the same time sound more bassy.

How to identify fake left handed Ibanez electric guitars?

And finally, the headstock, which reveals a difference (finally) that is telling. I think someone else here mentioned this a few months ago also (possibly Ginger?). On the fake headstock, the black line on the logo does not go all the way to the edge of the head. Second, the logo itself is thinner (or more accurately, it is cleaner and better defined) than on the fake. Also, the black line (checkmark, whatever) goes right up to the letters in the logo on the fake headstock. On the real headstock, the black line ends before it gets to the logo (or leaves the logo on the other side). For this comparison, I found another genuine Jem on the net and have used a photo of its headstock. I've circled the areas to look at for the line comparisons.

One point, there is a difference in the number of screws in the pick guard. The fake is missing one near the top of the 5 position pickup switch. I believe the total is real = 10, fake = 9. That is only around the perimeter, not internal.

Does Ibanez make a good Ibanez acoustic electric guitar?

The mid-level Ibanez are made in Korea, while the low-end ones are made in Indonesia, and the best ones are made in Japan.

There have also never been German made Ibanez, but there are some USA-customs floating around (there's one at my local music store). There are also fakes, so watch out for those.

I have to buy online and I have my eye on these two from eBay. I know Cort makes good lower priced acoustics and electrics, but I don't know much about their basses..

Ibanez and Cort are both great quality these days. Essentially the same basses at any rate. A lot of products (Cort, Ibanez, Lakland Skyline, Tobias etc...) all come from the same Cort factories in Korea and China.

What are better, Ibanez or Fender guitars?

Originally I wanted an Ibanez, after certain influences such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, etc. So, I set my mind on saving up for a nice Ibanez.

But then when I went to a shop to try it out, it didn't feel comfortable. I just felt somewhat restricted, I don't know why and it's hard to explain.

I always preferred Fenders. Just be sure to buy an older Fender, no "jap crap" however there is nothing wrong with am Ibanez. Lot's of my friends use them. They really have a great sound. Gibsons are my favorites.

Fender. but it depends on your style of playing and what sound you want. both guitars are good, but Fender is generally better than Ibanez.

hello, well the fender that I saw is cheaper and is pretty good, but is it worth buying a Ibanez? I don't know much about Ibanez? and what bout RAT? are these worth it?

It really depends on your taste and which sounds and feels better to you. I feel that Fenders (Strats or Tele's) are extremely versatile. While Ibanez guitars are just as good I don't think they are as versatile as strats or tele's. A lot of metal heads use them. They have a darker deeper tone well suited for metal or rock. A lot more shredders use them because they're easier to play. Thinner necks compared to Fenders. You ask if it would be worth buying an Ibanez? I think so.

Which Ibanez acoustic electric guitar would I choose?

I've been a guitar player for 45 years... Yes, I am old - But I've played everything out there... I even sold and serviced Ibanez guitars since the days of their start in USA. I still think they are fine guitars....

If you are going into heavy stuff like metal and you plan to do a lot leads with slides, whammy bar action and hammering, I would think you'd want the RG 350..... It has the Wizard fast action neck with maple fret board... Hotter pickups and other features that will allow you to wham away at riffs, licks and chops.

This is where I review the Ibanez SR405 electric bass. This bass comes with 5 strings. Last time I checked it was available for about 480 bucks at a leading online musical instruments seller.

So what's so special about the Ibanez SR 405? Well first of all let's look at the various features it comes with.
